Welcome to Camp4! It was founded when a group of avid mountaineers, outdoorsmen, and survivalists came together to share the knowledge they’ve gathered over the years. We are a group of passionate people with a mission to give our readers accurate and unbiased reviews about products we use and sharing our knowledge to make the most of your camping trip.
What We Do
We provide a hub of useful information for campers and outdoor enthusiasts. You find a range of tips and guides, such as The Beginner’s Guide to Knife Blade Steel or Must-Have Items for your Bug out Bag. We also feature a wide range of product reviews, from individual product reviews that look at the best options available for a specific application, like The 10 Best Pop Up Tents. Some of our popular topics, aside from camping, include knives, tents, and survival.
Why Trust Us?
Great question! The first thing to know is that the people in the Camp4 team are knowledgeable and have expertise in the fields they write about. While we do acknowledge that a review is a subjective opinion, we always try to mention the positives and negatives of any product, which helps you make an informed choice before purchasing.
We are also often asked if we’re paid to publish reviews – we arent. While we invite brands to send us their latest gear to review, we never accept any payment for this, nor do we ever tailor a review to suit a brand. Most brands value this honest feedback anyways, as it helps them to improve their product. We also encourage anyone who has feedback on their own experience with a product to share with us in the comment section or via email.
How we Make Money
While our team consists of people with a passion for the topics they write about, certain costs are involved in keeping things running. We need to make money in some way to sustain the site. Therefore, instead of displaying spammy ads everywhere, we signed up to participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. It’s a non-obtrusive advertising program designed to provide a means for sites like us to earn money by linking to products on Amazon.com.
In short: when we review a product, we’ll include a button to its Amazon.com listing for you to purchase (if you want to). If you do, we make some money in the process. That’s it!
All of these buttons are clearly marked with the Amazon logo, so you’ll know exactly where you’re going. If you would like to support us, making your purchases via these buttons does exactly that. Using this service means we can continue to provide our readers with useful, ad-free content while still keeping the site running.
